Marc Potts, the sculptor has imagined the essence of Hekate (or Hecate) beautifully with a long flowing dress and full length cape flowing behind her, a magnificent headdress, along with four faithful hounds.
Hekate or Hecate is the chief Goddess in ancient Greek mythology, most often associated with crossroads, entrance ways, magick, witchcraft, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, the dark moon phase, ghosts, necromancy and sorcery.
Although there are many animal companions of Hekate, the three key ones are dogs, horses and snakes.
